Statio: A Holy Pause

April 15 @ 3:00 pm - April 20 @ 7:00 pm

Charlotte, NC at SIM USA
(Registration closed – full)

Invest in a week of personal refreshment, ministry renewal and re-tooling in a beautiful setting with like-minded peers! Limited places available – first come, first serve. . .

hosted by: SIM USA
facilitated by Ruthie Campbell (SIM, Spiritual Vitality and Prayer Coordinator)

Statio is a custom of stopping one thing before beginning another, making room for an unhurried moment to be attentive to God.  Psalm 90:12 (NASB) says ‘So teach us to number our days aright that we might present to you a heart of wisdom.’  Are you in need of a holy pause to consider the order of your days? A way of being that leads to greater intimacy with God and in tune with your need to enter His rest and live from it for the sake of others?

Launching our discussions from Ruth Haley Barton’s book Sacred Rhythms, we will explore and practice several key Spiritual Practices that disciples of Jesus have used throughout history to arrange their lives for growing in intimacy with God.  Through the week we each will craft a personal framework of rhythm to help order our days towards living from a stillness that offers fruit to others and brings about the Kingdom in all its fullness.  Through guided reflections, facilitated discussions, as well as times of silence and solitude, we will make room to nourish our souls and listen attentively to God, to one another, and to what’s stirring in our own hearts.   Group size is limited to 10.

This development experience will allow time to experience practices that can help us enter into the stillness that strengthens our ability to enjoy Him and to discern what God is doing around us, in us, and through us!  Invest now in this relational learning experience with peers, in a lovely setting for renewal and growth!   Learning is done in interactive peer-groups, guided by experienced mentors, with a maximum of 10 women in each group. First come, first serve!  Register by Feb 15.

Other Module groups also meeting during this week:  Group Discipleship – see Event page for more information.
