She Can Preach

March 2 @ 1:00 pm - April 13 @ 6:00 pm

March 2 and April 13 (9:00am-6:00pm)
Coeur dAlene, Idaho

Registration closed – full (contact Wendy if you’d like to be on a waiting list)

The testimony of Scripture and of history is that of God choosing and using His people to do mighty things, initiate courageous action, lead into His purposes, and deliver powerful messages to His people – men and women both!  As the evangelical church is beginning to reclaim her need to fully engage gifted women in every area of life and ministry, we want to be prepared to follow God’s Spirit without hesitation.

She Can Preach is designed by Dr Jackie Roese to give women the confidence and skills they need to proclaim God’s Word effectively. In a cohort of 10 women, we learn to study, prepare, and deliver a transformative 20-minute biblical message in dependence on God’s Spirit and in a community of peer-learners. We will also discuss the internal issues that can cause women to doubt themselves and withhold their giftedness, including cultural, family and church background.

Jackie has taught the Scriptures and trained other women to do the same for more than 25 years out of her own love for Jesus and His Word. In 2008 she was the first female to serve on the Sunday morning preaching team at a large church in Dallas, Texas. With degrees from Dallas Seminary and Gordon-Conwell Seminary, she has done thoughtful and fruitful writing and teaching on the important and relevant topic of women in the evangelical church. In 2012, Jackie founded The Marcella Project, an organization committed to reshaping our view of women and to ennobling women through Scripture-focused teaching, training, and dialogue. She and her husband Steve have 3 adult children.
