SUMMARY:Pursuing Partnership Culture: Considerations as Men and Women Lead Together
DESCRIPTION:Coming again soon: check back!\n Wednesdays\, 12:30 – 2:00pm Eastern time\, bi-weekly\nFor men and women both to participate and process as colleagues.\nSession 1: Introductions and Overview\nSession 2: Benefits and Barriers – Structural & Practical\nSession 3: Implications of Theology – The Evangelical Spectrum\nSession 4: Flourishing Partnership – Inner Life\nSession 5: Flourishing Partnership – Community Culture\nSession 6: Flourishing Partnership – Intentional Practices \nPursuing Partnership Culture: Considerations as Men and Women Lead Together\n*Organizational Culture Shifts that Help Men and Women Flourish as They Work Together\n*Reducing Unintended Barriers to Healthy Partnership\n*Creating Pathways for Women in Organizational Leadership\n \nThis online workshop is limited to 20 participants who are focused on exploring and growing together around men and women leading together. (Limit 3 people from any one organization\, but colleagues attending together is encouraged for maximum benefit to the organization) \n\n*Learn with and from other participants in a discussion-based format\n*Spiritual reflection and practical help\n*Leave with new relationships and insights\n*Opportunities for ongoing cohort learning and interaction following event \nFacilitated by Ms. Wendy Wilson and Dr. Rob Dixon\n*More about our facilitators below \nEvent Specifics: \nFacilitators will lead us in interaction around understanding what is happening in both the research and changing expectations around men and women working together in leadership. What do we have to gain or lose by actively pursuing a more effective blend of men and women working together at the leadership level? How do address the challenges and opportunities? We will engage questions and interaction\, and make progress on developing effective processes for your own scenario. \n*Is the need for change traditional\, theological and/or practical?\n*What can be easily changed (once recognized) and what is more challenging?\n*What might a helpful organizational readiness process look like toward engaging effective partnerships?\n*How might expectations be different between home office leadership\, field staff\, supporting churches?\n*As many entities desire to involve more women in their leadership structures (field or executive roles)\, what might be unintended barriers and unrecognized opportunities in this direction?\n*How can we create more avenues to find\, develop\, support\, and retain more gifted women to bring the perspective and talent that we desire for our organizations?\n*What characteristics of organizational culture best support men and women working together in leadership? \nWe will consider a variety of intentional organizational practices that can help us move toward organizational cultures that invite\, develop\, and support women with leadership gifts and experience so male leaders have the eyes and perspectives they need from their female allies. As we identify any unintended barriers to meaningful partnership that may be at work in our own organizational cultures\, we are free to think creatively about removing and replacing them with processes that more accurately reflect our goals and help us accomplish our mission. We can begin to cultivate readiness\, embrace desired change\,  and establish ongoing pathways to bring the benefits of male/female partnerships more fully to bear.  The Image of God displayed and at work! \nWho is this for? \n*Mission Organization Decision-Makers (Executive Level\, HR/Personnel)\n*Field Staff Leadership\n*Church Leadership (Pastors\, Elders\, Dir. of Ops/Personnel) \n\nRegistration: $ 125\nRegister and pay online through the link in the top right corner of this page. SUMMARY:Leadership Pathways\, Part 2: Leading Myself as I Follow Christ
DESCRIPTION:March 26 – April 2\, 2025   \nRegistration closed: FULL – email Wendy to be put on a “first-notify” list in case a spot opens up.\nFacilitators:  Caryn Young\, Strengths-Finders coach\nJoy Beless\, Spiritual Director and Worship Leader\nWendy Wilson\, Women’s Development Track – Exec Dir \nUsually the hardest person to lead is . . . myself!  Has the woman in the mirror cultivated her own relationship with God in stillness and trust\, recognizing the other voices that compete for her priorities? As we steward the gift of leadership and the impact of our leadership on others\, we want to nurture a lifestyle that can resist busy-ness and capitulation as opportunities press hard on us for a response. This is where too many leaders compromise spiritual vitality and their ability to lead others well. With both guided and private space to sit with the Lord and to catch up with your soul\, we will enjoy a variety of practices that invite us to protect essential margin and quiet before the Lord so that we maintain the spiritual vitality needed to lead others well. We will explore life/work balance and boundaries; working with our brothers\, being aware of self-limiting perceptions\, maintaining healthy personal vision\, conflict management\, and other internal permission issues that can impact our leadership as women in particular. We will also address God’s design for our best contribution through personal Strengths-Finders discovery and coaching on-site during the week.  This peer-mentoring community is guided by experienced women mentors and limited to a cohort of 10 participants\, so we leave with important friendships for the ongoing journey! Part 1 is recommended but not required.  (Advance reading for discussion: Seven Deadly Sins of Women in Leadership\, by Kate Coleman\, and Sacred Rhythms\, by Ruth Haley Barton) \nLearning is done in an interactive peer-group\, guided by experienced mentors\, with a maximum of 10 women (max 2 per organization.) First come\, first serve! \nCourse Schedule:\nBegin Wednesday evening\, March 26\, with registration and dinner at 5pm\, then introductory session following. SUMMARY:The Spectrum of Evangelical Position and Practice on Women: Unpacking the Interpretive Challenges
DESCRIPTION:For men and women of the Great Commission community\nOnline: Third Wednesday of each month\, Sept 18 – April 16\, 12-2pm ET \nPresenter-Facilitators (scroll down for more about them*):\nHeather Althoff – LifeWay Church\, Missions Pastor\nDon Turner – Global Focus\, Pres/CEO\nWendy Wilson – MissioNexus\, Advisor for Dev of Women; Women’s Development Track\, Exec Dir \nNote from Wendy Wilson\, (Missio Nexus Mission Advisor for Development of Women\, Women’s Development Track Exec Dir). Two subjects that have the most traction currently among our members in their quest to steward well the gifts of their women are 1) women in leadership\, and 2) theology of women. So we are embarking on this series of guided online discussions to help address those requests. Our purpose here is to create fruitful conversation among those who love God and His Word\, and to resource our members as they seek God’s heart in their understanding and practice.  May the Bride of Christ be radiant! \nAs evangelicals we believe in the inerrancy of Scripture and hold a high view of God’s written Word to us as the basis of our belief and practice And we all love and worship the Living Word\, Jesus\, our Redeemer\, Savior\, and God Almighty. So how can it be that evangelicals – whether serious academics\, ministry leaders or other devoted disciples – have come to such a wide variety of conclusions about God’s design and heart for women in the Body of Christ? Who they are\, what they can do or not do\, how they relate to God and His purposes\, how they relate to their brothers in Christ. (And so\, this discussion is really about men and women both!) And how can it be that evangelicals who may hold the same position\, actually practice it quite differently? \nWhen it comes to texts that have greatly influenced modern evangelical thought\, we are dealing with issues of interpretation of Scripture\, for we are agreed on the inspiration of Scripture. And so we can expectantly and graciously engage together in an exploration of what the interpretive challenges actually are in those passages. And the interpretive decisions we all make that impact the way we walk out our faith in the area of men and women in Christ. \nIn this workshop we will look at the spectrum of thought\, the different ways and whys believers have come to different conclusions\, all pursuing God’s heart and honoring His Word. We’ll consider closely some passages that are most often contested in this conversation:  Genesis 1-3\, Galatians 3\, Ephesians 5\, 1 Peter 3\, 1 Timothy 2\, 1 Corinthians 7\, 11 & 14. Come and enjoy a respectful conversation\, guided by Kingdom colleagues who are experienced in this rich discussion (and love it!) Our hope is to give you information and perspectives that encourage your own continuing journey in faith and practice. \nIn a series of eight monthly 2-hour sessions\, on the THIRD Wednesday of each month from 12:00-2:00pm Eastern time\, we will  interact over the interpretive issues found in Scripture passages that are most commonly used as the biblical basis for various positions. As  facilitators present various segments\, we will discuss as peers to learn from each other’s experiences and practices as well. \n#1\, Sept 18 –  Overview and Spectrum Summary\n#2\, Oct 16 –  Genesis 1-3\n#3\, Nov 20 – Galatians 3\, 1 Corinthians 7\n#4\, Dec 18 – Ephesians 5: 21-33\, 1 Peter 3:1-9\n#5\, Jan 15 –  1 Tim 2: 8 – 15\n#6\, Feb 19 – 1 Tim 2: 8 – 15 (cont’d)   \n#7\, Mar 19 – 1 Corinthians 11: 2-16\, 14:26-40\n#8\, Apr 16 –Overview Old Testament to the Church  \nSuggested advance reading:\nNeither Complementarian nor Egalitarian\,(Baker Books\, 2016)\, by Dr Michelle Lee-Barnewall (Assoc Professor of New Testament at Biola University)\nAfter you read the book\, listen to her 40-min podcast in an interview that highlights her journey into a more fruitful conversation. \nRegistration: $ 125    (click button above right corner)\nLimited to 25 participants (closed when full) to best support both new relationships and vibrant discussions. Guided by experienced facilitators\, we can look forward to a deeper dive on the subject at hand each week. We will alternate between times of content presentation and Zoom room discussions.  While we understand that unexpected issues come up\, we trust that each participant will honor the group by making this monthly meeting a priority. This way we can all look forward to the most meaningful experience together!  \nCost: $125 \nDescription when you register:  Contested Passages Online\nDates: Sept 18\, 2024 – April 16\, 2025 \nRegister online asap to assure your place – You will receive a confirmation and Zoom invitation soon after your registration is received! \nQuestions?\nContact Wendy – wendy@womensdevelopmenttrack.org\n(208) 665-2367 \n*More about your facilitators: \nHeather Althoff currently serves as the Missions Pastor at LifeWay Church in Federal Way\, WA. SUMMARY:Leadership Pathways\, Part 1: Preparing for a Wider Scope of Leadership
DESCRIPTION:May 14-20\, 2025  \nRegistration closes March 14\, 2025 (or sooner if full – 1 place remaining)\nLeadership Pathways\, Part 1: Preparing for a Wider Scope of Leadership\nFacilitated by:\nAndrea Buczynski (Cru – Leadership Consultant and Coach)\,\nJenn Williamson (MissioNexus\, Dir of Leadership Formation\n \nWhat changes as your responsibilities increase? \nThis experience focuses on developing the increasing capacities/skills needed for women who are gifted and called into a larger scope or responsibility of leadership in their organization. Whether you are already there or on your way\, this experience can help you trouble shoot where you are currently\, identify what needs to shift\, and put language to what you’re experiencing.  While more agencies are seeking gifted women to serve in their senior leadership teams\, too often the paths to this niche of service for women are not clear\, leaving us under-prepared for the unique challenges and opportunities we face. We will discuss the importance of the heart of the leader as well as her relationships with God\, self\, and others. We will also consider key functions of a leader such casting vision\, setting direction\, attending to priorities\, leading change\, building teams\, men/women working together\, and serving as spokesperson.  Developing confidence\, born of humility and calling\, allows gifted women to bring needed creativity and perspective to decision-making teams where men and women work together to offer the fullness of God’s Image. This peer-mentoring community is guided by experienced women mentors and limited to a cohort of 12 participants\, so we leave with important friendships for the ongoing journey! Advance reading: Strengthening the Soul of Your Leadership\, by Ruth Haley Barton. \nLearning is done in an interactive peer-group\, guided by experienced mentors\, with a maximum of 10 women (max 2 per organization.) DESCRIPTION:Charlotte\, NC at SIM USA\n(Registration closed – full)\nInvest in a week of personal refreshment\, ministry renewal and re-tooling in a beautiful setting with like-minded peers! Limited places available – first come\, first serve. . .\nhosted by: SIM USA\nfacilitated by Ruthie Campbell (SIM\, Spiritual Vitality and Prayer Coordinator) \nStatio is a custom of stopping one thing before beginning another\, making room for an unhurried moment to be attentive to God.  Psalm 90:12 (NASB) says ‘So teach us to number our days aright that we might present to you a heart of wisdom.’  Are you in need of a holy pause to consider the order of your days? A way of being that leads to greater intimacy with God and in tune with your need to enter His rest and live from it for the sake of others? \nLaunching our discussions from Ruth Haley Barton’s book Sacred Rhythms\, we will explore and practice several key Spiritual Practices that disciples of Jesus have used throughout history to arrange their lives for growing in intimacy with God.  Through the week we each will craft a personal framework of rhythm to help order our days towards living from a stillness that offers fruit to others and brings about the Kingdom in all its fullness.  Through guided reflections\, facilitated discussions\, as well as times of silence and solitude\, we will make room to nourish our souls and listen attentively to God\, to one another\, and to what’s stirring in our own hearts.   Group size is limited to 10. \nThis development experience will allow time to experience practices that can help us enter into the stillness that strengthens our ability to enjoy Him and to discern what God is doing around us\, in us\, and through us!  Invest now in this relational learning experience with peers\, in a lovely setting for renewal and growth!   Learning is done in interactive peer-groups\, guided by experienced mentors\, with a maximum of 10 women in each group. SUMMARY:Theology of Women and Men in Ministry and Marriage: Unpacking the Evangelical Spectrum in Position and Practice
DESCRIPTION:A guided\, interactive workshop for brothers and sisters in Christ together. \nNov 10-12\, 2023 (Fri\, 1pm-6:30pm – Sat\, 9:00am-6:30pm\, Sun 9:00am – 5:00pm)\nMeals included\nPost Falls\, Idaho at Ross Point Conference Center\n\n Registration closes when full – limited space\, so register soon \n \nPresenter-Facilitators (scroll down for more about them*):\nHeather Althoff – LifeWay Church\, Assoc Missions Pastor\nTrevor Gavin – pastor/teacher and church planter\nRon Pierce – Biola University/Talbot School of Theology\, Professor\nWendy Wilson – MissioNexus\, Advisor for Dev of Women; Women’s Development Track\, Exec Dir \nAs evangelicals we believe in the inerrancy of Scripture and hold a high view of God’s written Word to us as the basis of our belief and practice And we all love and worship the Living Word\, Jesus\, our Redeemer\, Savior\, and God Almighty. \nIn this workshop we will look at the spectrum of thought\, the different ways and why’s evangelical believers have come to different conclusions\, all pursuing God’s heart and honoring His Word. We’ll consider closely some passages that are most often contested in this conversation:  Genesis 1-3\, Ephesians 5\, 1 Peter 3\, Galatians\, 1 Timothy 2\, 1 Corinthians 7\, 11 & 14. Come and dig in with us\, in a respectful conversation\, guided by Kingdom colleagues who are experienced in this rich discussion (and love it!) Our hope is to give you information and perspectives that encourage your own continuing journey in faith and practice. \nAdvance reading suggested:\nHalf the Church (Zondervan\, 2015)\, by Carolyn Custis James\nNeither Complementarian nor Egalitarian\,(Baker Books\, 2016)\, by Dr Michelle Lee-Barnewall \n(After you read the book\, listen to her 40-min podcast in an interview that highlights her journey into a more fruitful conversation.) \nCOURSE SCHEDULE:\nBegin Friday\, Nov 10\, at 1pm. Eve is best known for causing the fall. Sarah is blamed for tensions in the Middle East. Ruth acted scandalously on the threshing floor. And Mary Magdalene is infamous for a life of prostitution. By misinterpreting their stories\, we also risk adopting a faulty view of God. Vindicating the Victims challenges these superficial treatments and contends that we have missed what biblical authors intended to convey about 13 notable women of Scripture. \nDates: 1st Fridays (once a month)\, April 7 – Nov 3\nTime: 12:00 – 1:30pm\, Eastern Time\nFacilitator:  Eva Burkholder\, Christar\nEva is an MK from PNG\, former cross-cultural worker in Indonesia\, and currently a member care provider with Christar. The author unveils how women serve in distinctive ways and identifies key traits of faithful connected leaders who resourcefully carry on with resilience and hope.  Real-life stories give us so much to learn about the dynamics that inhibit women and also give testimony to God’s grace that causes them to thrive. \nDates: First Thursday (once a month)\, April 6 – Nov 2\nTime: 2:00-3:30pm\, Eastern Time\nFacilitator:  Wendy Wilson\, Missio Nexus\, Women’s Development Track\nWendy is currently the Executive Director of Women’s Development Track\, envisioning and equipping women to bring their gifts fully into the grand calling of the Great Commission.  She has led inter-mission equipping efforts for 38 years\, including 20 years of executive leadership experience in missions. Wendy lives in Coeur d’Alene\, Idaho with her husband\, Ed Dudding\, who has a local counseling practice for process addictions and trauma. \n**************************************************************************** \nTHE MAKING OF BIBLICAL WOMANHOOD: How the Subjugation of Women Became Gospel Truth\, by Beth Allison Barr. \nNorth American definitions of biblical womanhood shape the everyday lives of evangelical women – from choices about careers to roles in local churches to relationship dynamics – and have found their way into the conversations of cross-cultural workers. This book moves the conversation about biblical womanhood beyond Greek grammar and into the realm of church history–ancient\, medieval\, and modern–to show how human civilization continues to creep into the church. Barr’s historical insights provide context for contemporary teachings about women’s roles in the church and help move the conversation forward. \nDates: 2nd Mondays (once a month)\, April 10 – Nov 13\nTime: 7:00-8:30pm\, Eastern Time\nFacilitator:  Beth Eckstein\, SEND Intntl\nBeth grew up in the Midwest but has made her home in Asia for the last 23 years\, spending time in both China and now in Taiwan. SUMMARY:Pursuing Partnership:Men and Women Leading Together
DESCRIPTION:Missio Nexus ’24’ series:  Kansas City\, MO    Hosted by Avant Ministries\n(registration closes March 13\, or sooner if full)\nPursuing Partnership: Men and Women Leading Together\n*Creating Pathways for Women in Organizational Leadership\n*Reducing Unintended Barriers to Women’s Participation\n*Organization Culture Shifts that Help Men and Women Flourish as They Work Together \n\n’24’ is a small gathering of Missio Nexus members who are focused on exploring and growing together around a specific affinity. ‘24′ will take place over 24 hours in a face-to-face setting allowing attendees to quickly gain new insights\, build relationships\, and grow together on relevant topics and issues. \n\nLimited to 15 people for more focused interaction and hands on planning (limit to 2 people from any one organization\, but 2 colleagues attending together is encouraged for maximum benefit and reporting back)\nWorking retreat atmosphere\nLearn with and from your colleagues\nSpiritual reflection\nLeave with new relationships and insight\nOpportunities for ongoing cohort learning and interaction following event\n\nFacilitated by Ms. Wendy Wilson\, Dr. Rob Dixon\, and Dr. Leanne Dzubinski  *\n*More about our facilitators below \nEvent Specifics: \nFacilitators will lead us in a day of interaction around understanding what is happening in both the research and changing expectations around men and women working together in leadership. What do we have to gain or lose by actively pursuing a more effective blend of men and women working together at the leadership level? We will engage questions and interaction\, and make progress on developing effective processes for your own scenario. \n\nAre the issues traditional\, theological and/or practical?\nWhat can be easily changed (once recognized) and what is more challenging?\nWhat might a helpful organizational readiness process look like toward bringing more women into leadership?\nHow might expectations be different between home office leadership\, field staff\, supporting churches?\nAs many entities desire to involve more women in their leadership structures (field or executive roles)\, what might be unintended barriers and unrecognized opportunities in this direction? Why do these gifted women seem so hard to find? And when we find them\, why do they seem hesitant to step forward?\nHow can we create more avenues to find\, develop\, support\, and retain more gifted women to bring the perspective and talent that we desire for our organizations?\nWhat characteristics of organizational culture best support men and women working together in leadership?\n\nWe will explore the structure of gender bias in the workplace\, including the 6 primary unconscious gender bias barriers and multiple subcomponents of each barrier. These barriers have been identified through research and are commonly (and often surprisingly) at play in the ways we function. As we identify those unintended barriers that may be at work in our own organizational cultures\, we are free to think creatively about removing and replacing them with processes that more accurately reflect our goals and help us accomplish our mission. \nWe will also consider a variety of organizational practices that can help us move toward organizational cultures that invite\, develop\, and support women with leadership gifts and experience. By discussing several case studies from evangelical organizations that have grappled successfully with these issues\, we can begin to cultivate readiness\, embrace desired change\,  and establish ongoing pathways to bring the gifts of women more fully to bear alongside their brothers in Christ.  The Image of God displayed and at work! \nWho is this for? \n\nMission Organization Decision-Makers (Executive Level\, HR/Personnel)\nField Staff Leadership\nChurch Leadership (Pastors\, Elders\, Dir. of Ops/Personnel)\n\n\nRegistration: $100 \nTues/Wed\, March 21-22\, 2023   \nMarch 21\, noon to 8pm (including lunch/dinner) to March 22\, 8:30am to noon (concluding with lunch)\nRegister and pay online through the link in the top right corner of this page. (Notation for Partnerships – Mar 2023)  If mailing payment after registering\, make check payable to Women’s Development Track    PO Box 894   Coeur d’Alene\, ID 83816.  \nIf you have your own accommodations in the area\, the cost for the noon-noon event is $100\, which includes lunch-dinner on Tues and lunch on Wed. SUMMARY:A Global Vision for Women: Exploring our Theology and its Impact

Limited places available – first come\, first serve. . .registration closes when full.\nFacilitated by:\nWendy Wilson (Missio Nexus\, WDT) and Heather Althoff (LifeWay Church)\nThis development experience will help you sort through your own tensions and confusion in the variety of positions and practice on women in marriage and the church/ministry\, so you can serve with personal clarity and faith as well as interact fruitfully with others on this important and impactful topic. Invest now in a relational learning experience with peers for renewal and growth!  Learning is done in interactive peer-groups\, guided by experienced mentors\, with a maximum of 12 women in each group. First come\, first serve! Register soon! \nA Global Vision for Women: Exploring our Theology and its Impact Women hold up at least half the sky and make up more than half the church. Attention to both the plight and giftedness of women across the globe has been called the “moral challenge and unfinished business” of this century. As we plant and nurture churches in diverse settings\, what are the current callings\, challenges\, and opportunities of the North American church and missions regarding women? Instead of fear and confusion\, we can we have productive conversations that encourage God’s people to partner together fruitfully in their callings and engage the paths God has laid before them? \nAs we come from different perspectives and practices\, we will grapple toward personal clarity and impact of issues like: 1)  God’s relationship to women in the Bible\, 2)  historical surveys of women in ministry from the early church to present\, 3)  understanding the discussion around biblical culture and theology of women in key passages\, with its implications and applications in various settings\, 4) the narratives of women and Kingdom themes\, and 5)  intentionality in nurturing and stewarding the giftedness of women in our organizations.  We will respectfully interact to embrace what is most important to us by faith\, living it out with confidence and grace\, and let God speak to us about what He is doing in our day!  Some advance reading. \n(Other Module groups also meeting during this week:   Self-Guided Personal/Team Retreat option  -(see separate event banner) \nCourse Schedule:\nBegin Wednesday evening\, Nov 8\, with registration and dinner at 5pm\, then introductory session following. Limited places available – first come\, first serve. . .\nThis development experience will help you build confidence and skills around clarity in reaching toward other-generational women as mentors or mentees\, and strengthen your ability to step into the opportunities God is putting before you!  Invest now in a relational learning experience with peers\, in a lovely setting for renewal and growth!  Learning is done in interactive peer-groups\, guided by experienced mentors\, with a maximum of 12 women in each group. First come\, first serve!  \n(Other Module groups also meeting during this week:  Discovering My Design and Personal Mission – see Module Descriptions for more information.) \nDesigned by Dr Barbara Neumann\, Dallas Seminary.   Do you feel a bit intimidated\, frustrated\, or just baffled in relationships with women around you who were raised in a different generational culture? Jesus set in motion the essential Christian tradition of disciplepship – passing on vibrant faith relationally\, from one generation to the next. Young women today clamor for mentors/disciplers who will accept and guide them\, but too often the older women that have so much to offer them wrestle with a lack of confidence. How can we build bridges of understanding and connection between generations so that we preserve the rich resource of women-to-women relationships as we move toward each other? We’ll consider influential distinctives of the Boomer to Millennial generations and explore encouraging pathways between them. We’ll explore generational values and perspectives on key issues such as God\, spirituality\, church\, relationships\, commitment\, sexuality and morality\, fears and hopes\, the impact of technology and globalization. And we’ll explore the roles and desires of both mentors and mentees\, discerning needs and commonalities\, types of mentoring relationships\, common mentoring mistakes\, and how to create the nourishing relationships that busy women want to make time for! Some advance preparation. \nFor more description on this module\, go to www.WomensDevelopmentTrack.com/module-descriptions/ \nCourse Schedule:\nBegin Wednesday evening\, October 26\, with introductions/overview and dinner at 5pm\, then introductory session following. SUMMARY:Monthly Guided Discussion Group: Internal Permission Issues Plaguing Women in Leadership
DESCRIPTION:Registration closed: in process (check back in Summer 2023 for another group)\nMonthly Guided Peer-Mentoring Group for Women in Leadership \nFeatured Book: 7 Deadly Sins of Women in Leadership\, Overcome Self-Defeating Behavior in Work and Ministry\nFacilitated by Wendy Wilson and Melanie Lachcik\n(*see below for more on your facilitators) \nExplore with other Great Commission women the common ways women hold themselves back as leaders:\nWomen are making their way into strategic positions of influence and leadership within the church\, public\, corporate\, charity\, and voluntary sectors in unprecedented numbers. They are called by God to flourish in these areas. At the same time\, women’s entry into the leadership arena has been the catalyst to uncover deep-seated issues in leadership culture.  These external and internal challenges are not unique to women\, but they tend to hinder women in unique ways:\n    Overcome limiting self-perception\n    Establish boundaries\n    Develop clear personal vision\n    Cultivate healthy work/life rhythm\n    Stop being a people-pleaser\n    Learn to confront\, not collude\n    Be intentional with your inner circle \nGroups are limited to 12 participants (closed when full) to best support both our new relationships and vibrant discussions. Guided by experienced facilitators\, we can look forward to a deeper dive on the subject at hand each week as well as benefit from the varied experience of group members. \nBecause groups are limited in size\, we count on group members doing all they can to be present\, prepared\, and ready to participate each meeting. While we understand that unexpected issues come up\, we trust that each participant will honor her group by making this monthly meeting a priority. This way we can all look forward to the most meaningful experience together! Likewise\, because this is a peer-mentoring discussion-based learning experience\, sessions will not be recorded to support out ability to honestly process our challenges together. \nRegister by Oct 14 to assure your place. When your registration is received you’ll receive a confirmation email and Zoom invitation! Feel free to order your book right away so you have it in plenty of time:\n7 Deadly Sins of Women in Leadership by Kate Coleman\, Zondervan Publishers. \nRegistration:(click button above right corner) \nCost: $30 when you register\, plus purchase of the book separately. \nDates: Third Wednesday\, once a month\, Oct 19 – April 19\n(Oct 19\, Nov 16\, Dec 21\, Jan 18\, Feb 15\, Mar 15\, Apr 19)\nTime: 1:00 – 2:15pm\, Eastern Time (10:00 – 11:15am Pacific)\n*Facilitators:  Wendy Wilson and Melanie Lachcik \nWendy has served in various capacities in leadership training ministry since 1984. Her great joy is envisioning and equipping women to participate in the grand calling of the Great Commission.  Since 2012 she has served as the Mission Advisor for Development of Women to the Missio Nexus network\, founding a collaborative project\, Women’s Development Track\, to help agencies and churches bring the full spectrum of gifts of women more fully to bear in accomplishing the Great Commission.\n \nMelanie was first introduced to the Women’s Development Track’s Leadership Pathways cohort learning process in 2018. She felt that God used these experiences to significantly shape her\, catalyzing her own desire to continually learn and grow personally as well as see others develop in their own leadership journey.  Melanie uses her passion and skills to serve at WordPartners as the Vice President of Partner Development.   \n Register by clicking on the icon at the top right of this page – indicate “7 DeadlySins Online.” First come\, first serve!\n \nQuestions or requests?  Wendy@WomensDevelopmentTrack.com

SUMMARY:Equipping Missions for the Cultural Challenges of Singleness\, Marriage & Sexuality
DESCRIPTION:Missio Nexus ’24’ Peer-Learning Event\nApril 20-21         in the Chicago area\nFor more information and registration:  MissioNexus.org/events \nCulture is rapidly changing with respect to marriage\, singleness and sexuality. Mission organizations need biblically grounded tools and resources to provide constructive responses to these cultural challenges. Though singles and marrieds\, with and without children\, may serve shoulder to shoulder on teams\, they have very different perceptions\, needs and challenges. \nWhat are the critical differences? How do we respond to the cultural challenges and live the reality of who we are in Christ as we serve together on teams – thriving in service and community? How do we effectively value and leverage every member? \nThis 24 event will equip mission leaders to develop answers to these questions through understanding the cultural trends\, examining the biblical data\, gleaning feedback from missionaries across the globe\, and interacting with other leaders. We will offer a biblical foundation for thinking and reflecting on the issues of singleness\, marriage and sexuality relevant for all cultures\, traditional and western. In a collaborative learning environment participants will have opportunity to share methods for better supporting and leveraging single and married members in their mission. Together we can be prepared to face a world of challenges and lead the mission endeavor through the twenty-first century and beyond. \nThis event will be facilitated by the Shoulder-to-Shoulder team\, an initiative of One Another Ministries. \nFor more information and registration:  MissioNexus.org/events
