We will engage questions and interaction\, and make progress on developing effective processes for your own scenario. \n\nAre the issues traditional\, theological and/or practical?\nWhat can be easily changed (once recognized) and what is more challenging?\nWhat might a helpful organizational readiness process look like toward bringing more women into leadership?\nHow might expectations be different between home office leadership\, field staff\, supporting churches?\nAs many entities desire to involve more women in their leadership structures (field or executive roles)\, what might be unintended barriers and unrecognized opportunities in this direction? Why do these gifted women seem so hard to find? And when we find them\, why do they seem hesitant to step forward?\nHow can we create more avenues to find\, develop\, support\, and retain more gifted women to bring the perspective and talent that we desire for our organizations?\nWhat characteristics of organizational culture best support men and women working together in leadership?\n\nWe will explore the structure of gender bias in the workplace\, including the 6 primary unconscious gender bias barriers and multiple subcomponents of each barrier. These barriers have been identified through research and are commonly (and often surprisingly) at play in the ways we function. As we identify those unintended barriers that may be at work in our own organizational cultures\, we are free to think creatively about removing and replacing them with processes that more accurately reflect our goals and help us accomplish our mission. \nWe will also consider a variety of organizational practices that can help us move toward organizational cultures that invite\, develop\, and support women with leadership gifts and experience. Dzubinski\, Ph.D. is acting dean and associate professor of intercultural education in the Cook School of Intercultural Studies. Before that\, she spent 20 years as a missionary\, working in evangelism\, church planting\, and education in Europe. Dr. Dzubinski earned a BA from Emory University\, a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary\, a DMin from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary\, and a PhD in from the University of Georgia. In addition to numerous articles\, she is the author of Women in the Mission of the Church: Their Opportunities and Obstacles throughout Christian History and Playing by the Rules: How Women Lead in Evangelical Mission Organizations.\nDr. Rob Dixon has served with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship for 26 years\, and currently works as a Senior Fellow with the InterVarsity Institute. Rob holds a Doctor of Intercultural Studies degree from Fuller Theological Seminary\, and his book\, Together in Ministry: Women and Men in Flourishing Partnerships\, was published in September 2021 from InterVarsity Press Academic. Rob spends his time training\, coaching\, and consulting on the topic of women and men in partnership\, and he has enjoyed his interactions with organizations such as Missio Nexus\, the Reformed Church in America\, Wycliffe\, ECO Presbyterian\, and others. In his free time\, Rob enjoys long runs\, hanging out with his family\, and adjunct teaching at Fresno Pacific University and Fuller Theological Seminary. \nMs. Wendy Wilson expresses her joy and privilege as envisioning and equipping women to bring their gifts fully into the grand calling of the Great Commission.  With a BBA from Texas A&M University\, and an MABS from Dallas Theological Seminary\, Wendy has led inter-mission and inter-confessional equipping efforts for 38 years\, having lived and traveled abroad for most of those years. Discover\, or re-discover\, what God has for you in this stage of life – to make your best contribution for God’s Kingdom! \nUnderstanding how God has woven into each of us a special ability for contributing to His purposes through our life experiences\, personalities\, values\, gifts and passions\, allows us to experience a deeper sense of joy\, satisfaction\, perseverance\, and impact.  By gaining clarity and confidence around that personal mission\, we can better recognize and choose involvements aligned with God’s design for us. Enjoy a week of coaching by experienced mentors and with peers toward the clarity that frees us from over- or under-commitment and a life pace that sustains us as passionate lifetime disciples.   Minimal advance preparation.  \nThis development experience will help you build confidence and skills around clarity in your own unique design and personal mission and strengthen your ability to step into the opportunities God is putting before you!  Invest now in a relational learning experience with peers\, in a lovely setting for renewal and growth! Learning is done in interactive peer-groups\, guided by experienced mentors\, with a maximum of 12 women in each group. First come\, first serve! End Wednesday evening\, September 14\, at 7pm (registration includes your room for this night\, assuming September 15 departures.) Daily activities from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm\, which include  worship\, personal reflection time\, group instruction and interaction\, plus several breaks\, a long lunch and evenings free. \nWe will enjoy an extended worship time together on the first morning to ease into our week\, and a Free Afternoon half way through the week to enjoy the area and have some fun/relaxation. \nCost for the Week:   $750 all-inclusive\, on-site\, or $550 for commuters\n(host mission prices for SIMers\, see below)\nWe will be hosted by SIM USA located in Charlotte\, NC.  This all-inclusive price includes lovely accommodation with a bathroom in each room (based on double occupancy) and use of all facilities\, with 3 meals/day plus coffee breaks\, for the duration of your stay\,  September  8-15\, except dinner on the day off.   It also includes training instruction\, all meeting rooms\, administration\, pick-up and delivery to the Charlotte airport\, and transportation on our day off. DESCRIPTION:A 5-day Virtual Gathering Event \nGather is a five-day\, web-based live event specifically for women ministering overseas!\n\nIn this time of social distance and isolation\, Gather is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to connect safely with women ministering in all parts of the world and to experience community\, teaching\, resourcing\, prayer\, fun\, and so much more.\n\nGather is structured so that you are able to create a personalized schedule to fit your exact needs and wants at this time. You may attend as many or as few sessions as you would like—choosing what would be most valuable to you\, at the most convenient times for you in your time zone. \nThe event will commence on Monday\, March 28 \, with a large opening session for all participants. DESCRIPTION:March 3-10\, 2022       hosted by Wycliffe in Orlando\, FL\n(Registration CLOSED – FULL\, dates for 2023 are now posted)\nLeadership Affirmations: Thriving as Women Leaders and Developing Others \nFacilitated by Wendy Wilson (Missio Nexus\, WDT) and JoDee Ahmann (International Coaching Federation)\nhosted by Wycliffe Bible Translators in Orlando FL      \nWhat helps us make our best contribution as women in leadership\, and also to advocate for and develop other gifted women?  \nThis experience will focus on 1) productive conversations and language that can help pave the way for healthy leadership partnerships as brothers and sisters in Christ\, 2) gaining personal clarity\, identifying inconsistencies\, exploring historical and practical trends\, and resolving tensions we may hold related to our understanding and application of biblical teaching around gender\, leadership\, gifting\, and design – at home\, in the church\, and outside\, 3) exploring what women need to do their best work and lead authentically as women\, and 4) coaching as a relational leadership style to support a culture of developing people. SUMMARY:Come Away: An Experience in Soul Care

Jesus invites us to come to Him “all you who are struggling hard and carrying heavy loads and I will give you rest”. Say yes to the opportunity to breathe deeply in a beautiful setting\, as we discover and practice “new rhythms of grace” to renew and restore our souls. Besides interaction on Ruth Haley Barton’s book Sacred Rhythms\, we will explore many practices that are life giving and soul satisfying – solitude\, lectio divina\, worship\, rule of life for the journey – and more. It ends Friday evening\, Oct 4\, at 7 p.m.  We meet from 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. daily with lunch and breaks. We will enjoy a worship time together on Sunday morning and a Free Afternoon on Wednesday for a break to rest or to enjoy the area for some fun/relaxation. Desirous to energize your private and corporate prayer life? Long to connect with God and experience His Presence in everyday life? Whether you are currently feasting or in a period of spiritual famine\, this week will reawaken your spiritual appetite as you have time to be still and listen. Each day is filled with individual exercises that push back the urgent and allow you to experience Him in fresh ways. Built to stimulate and stretch your spiritual senses\, you will gain confidence in recognizing and hearing God’s daily voice.
