DESCRIPTION:Registration closed: in process (check back in Summer 2023 for another group)\nMonthly Guided Peer-Mentoring Group for Women in Leadership \nFeatured Book: 7 Deadly Sins of Women in Leadership\, Overcome Self-Defeating Behavior in Work and Ministry\nFacilitated by Wendy Wilson and Melanie Lachcik\n(*see below for more on your facilitators) \nExplore with other Great Commission women the common ways women hold themselves back as leaders:\nWomen are making their way into strategic positions of influence and leadership within the church\, public\, corporate\, charity\, and voluntary sectors in unprecedented numbers. They are called by God to flourish in these areas. At the same time\, women’s entry into the leadership arena has been the catalyst to uncover deep-seated issues in leadership culture.  These external and internal challenges are not unique to women\, but they tend to hinder women in unique ways:\n    Overcome limiting self-perception\n    Establish boundaries\n    Develop clear personal vision\n    Cultivate healthy work/life rhythm\n    Stop being a people-pleaser\n    Learn to confront\, not collude\n    Be intentional with your inner circle \nGroups are limited to 12 participants (closed when full) to best support both our new relationships and vibrant discussions. Guided by experienced facilitators\, we can look forward to a deeper dive on the subject at hand each week as well as benefit from the varied experience of group members. \nBecause groups are limited in size\, we count on group members doing all they can to be present\, prepared\, and ready to participate each meeting. While we understand that unexpected issues come up\, we trust that each participant will honor her group by making this monthly meeting a priority. This way we can all look forward to the most meaningful experience together! DESCRIPTION:A 5-day Virtual Gathering Event \nGather is a five-day\, web-based live event specifically for women ministering overseas!\n\nIn this time of social distance and isolation\, Gather is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to connect safely with women ministering in all parts of the world and to experience community\, teaching\, resourcing\, prayer\, fun\, and so much more.\n\nGather is structured so that you are able to create a personalized schedule to fit your exact needs and wants at this time. You may attend as many or as few sessions as you would like—choosing what would be most valuable to you\, at the most convenient times for you in your time zone. \nThe event will commence on Monday\, March 28 \, with a large opening session for all participants. SUMMARY:WDT Connect: Leadership Coaching Circle (Sept - April)
DESCRIPTION:(registration closed – groups in process – check back in Summer 2021 for new groups!)\nMentor/Coaching circles are facilitated groups of 6-8 women leaders who want to grow spiritually and professionally\, and who meet to encourage and support each other in an atmosphere of confidentiality and trust. \n“Iron sharpens iron\, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17\, TNIV \nWho?\nChristian women leaders – Do you need a safe place to talk?  Maybe you need a sounding board because being a woman at the top can be lonely? Or you have specific issues you’d like to process with other women leaders? Do you want to expand your skill set? Do you want to embrace it\, even if in this moment you feel stuck and unable to be used by God the way your heart longs to experience it?   Then now is the time to get connected. \nFacilitator/Coach: Margie Bowman is a Women’s Development Track Board member and has been a participant and leader of various ministries over the past 25 years.  Margie comes with a corporate leadership background in Human Resources\, specializing in learning and development. As a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) she has developed mentoring and coaching programs for women leaders in various career and life transitions.  Margie has been married for 20 years to Dean and enjoys outdoor activities in the mountains and ocean sports. \nWhat do you get? A guided 8-month\, monthly Zoom meeting with your cohort: \n\nencouragement and support with confidentiality and trust\nconnect with peers to generate ideas\, problem solve and overcome challenges\nsafe place to be yourself and “try on” ideas\nelevate your impact in all areas of your life\nfun opportunity to network with like-minded women\nexperience of ways to mentor and coach others\n\nSharing your stories with others validates your experience as a woman leader.  Surrounding yourself with growth-oriented women will expand the boundaries of your vision and give you valuable insights on your challenges through peer-mentoring and coaching. \nWhat does it look like? \n\nKickoff: An initial meeting where participants will talk about goals for their circle\, including the difference and desired blend between mentoring and coaching. This will also be a time to connect and through icebreakers\, introductions\, backgrounds and life experiences.\nAlternating sessions:\n\nExperience: Discussion around chapters of book\, review of self-reflection insights.\nExplore: A couple of assigned members will present for discussion a challenge that they are currently experiencing. Balance of group will ask questions and share their own related experience. All members provide peer to peer mentoring and coaching to help participant with a breakthrough.\n\n\nDiscuss individual challenges \n\nMaybe there was a situation that occurred with an employee/peer/spiritual partner and you felt you resolved it in a way that the rest of the group would find interesting.
