Group Discipleship: Guiding Relational Learning

March 3, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - March 9, 2018 @ 7:00 pm

Group Discipleship: Guiding Relational Learning

Making the shift from “teaching as telling” to “guide on the side” is key to the kind of relational teaching that nurtures a lifetime disciple – and it’s something that many of us can learn to do more effectively than lecture! Guided peer-learning frees us to connect the truth of God’s Word with the realities of our lives, using any good content of your choice well. Group learning involves becoming a co-learner and a guide, actively listening, preparing good questions that guide toward discovery, staying on track by building continuity, building trust and respect among members, and designing discipleship experiences that transform and multiply. Besides being a key shift in teaching style to engage the next generation, these are life skills that apply to small group Bible Studies, home groups, ministry teams, web-based meetings, and to the variety of conversations we have daily with people around us! Some advance preparation. (to see more – www.PeerEquip.com)

This development experience will help you build confidence and discipleship skills that strengthen your ability to step into the opportunities God is putting before you!  Invest now in a relational learning experience with peers, in a lovely setting for renewal and growth!  (Other Modules being offered at this same time:  The Significant Woman – see Module Descriptions for more information.) Learning is done in interactive peer-groups, guided by experienced mentors, with a maximum of 12 women in each group. First come, first serve!  Register by January 5. (After this date, contact us to see if places are still available.)

(Other Module groups also meeting during this week:  A Significant Woman, Developing a Discerning Heart, and Leadership Pathways, Part 1 – see Module Descriptions for more information.)

Course Schedule:

Begin Saturday evening, March 3, with registration at 5pm, dinner at 6pm and introductory session following. End Friday evening, Mar 9, at 7pm (registration includes your room for this night, assuming Mar 10 departures.) 8:30 am – 6:00 pm daily (including worship, personal reflection time, group instruction and interaction, plus several breaks and a 2 hour lunch with evenings free.)

We will enjoy a worship time together on Sunday morning and a Free Afternoon on Wednesday to enjoy the area and have some fun/relaxation. Beautiful downtown Coeur d’Alene, Idaho is 10 minutes away with shops, restaurants, art galleries, the CdA Resort, hiking by the lake!

Cost for the Week:   $750 all-inclusive, on-site     ($475 for those staying elsewhere locally)

We will be hosted by the Ross Point Camp and Conference Center in Post Falls, ID, situated in a beautiful location on the Spokane River. This all-inclusive price includes lovely accommodation with a bathroom in each room (based on double occupancy) and use of all facilities, with 3 meals/day plus coffee breaks, for the duration of your stay,  Mar 3-10, except dinner on the day off.   It also includes training instruction, all meeting rooms, administration, pick-up and delivery to the Spokane airport if needed, and transportation on our day off (materials ordered separately). What a deal!

To best protect an undistracted experience we ask that, even if you are staying elsewhere, you stay fully engaged with your group all day from breakfast through dinner.

If you prefer to have a single room, let us know and we can try to arrange it if possible, for an extra $150/week that you can pay on site.   An extra night on the front or back end is $50 (meals not included.)

Confirmation:

We will confirm your reservation and send your receipt when we receive your registration form and payment – please register by January 5, 2018 to assure your place. Before you book your travel, please wait until you hear from us to affirm a full group for your module.

Refund Policy:

If cancellation is made before Jan 5, you will be refunded all but $100. If cancellation is made after Jan 5 and we are able to fill your place with another participant, you will also be refunded all but $100. However, if cancellation is made after Jan 5 and we are not able to fill your place, your registration cannot be refunded since we are committed to our reservation with Ross Point in full after that date. In case of true emergency we can try to negotiate this, but especially for configuring small group intensive mentoring experiences, we will count on your being with us once you have registered!

Arrivals/Departures:

If you are flying from out of the area please fly into Spokane, WA (GEG) by Saturday afternoon, March 3, no later than 4pm, so our scheduled start at 5pm is protected – especially with winter travel. Flight departures anytime Sat, Mar 10 (breakfast included). Thanks for arranging your arrival/departure times so that you will be present from beginning to end, not arriving/leaving early. It takes about 30 minutes to get from the Spokane airport to the Ross Point Camp and we will meet you.

If you are driving to Ross Point Camp, please plan to be there by 4 pm on Sat, March 3, to get checked in and settled before our training time begins.
