Group Discipleship: Guiding Relational Learning
October 20 @ 5:00 pm - October 26 @ 7:00 pm
Group Discipleship: Guiding Relational Learning
Making the shift from “teaching as telling” to “guide on the side” is key to the kind of relational teaching that nurtures a lifetime disciple – and it’s something that many of us can learn to do more effectively than lecture! Guided peer-learning frees us to connect the truth of God’s Word with the realities of our lives, using any good content of your choice well. Group learning involves becoming a co-learner and a guide, actively listening, preparing good questions that guide toward discovery, staying on track by building continuity, building trust and respect among members, and designing discipleship experiences that transform and multiply. Besides being a key shift in teaching style to engage the next generation, these are life skills that apply to small group Bible Studies, home groups, ministry teams, web-based meetings, and to the variety of conversations we have daily with people around us! Some advance preparation. (to see more – www.PeerEquip.com)
This development experience will help you build confidence and discipleship skills that strengthen your ability to step into the opportunities God is putting before you! Invest now in a relational learning experience with peers, in a lovely setting for renewal and growth! Learning is done in interactive peer-groups, guided by experienced mentors, with a maximum of 12 women in each group. First come, first serve! Register by Sept 5. (After this date, contact us to see if places are still available.)
Begin Saturday evening, Oct 20, with introductions and dinner at 5pm, then overview session following. End Friday evening, Oct 26, at 7pm (registration includes your room for this night, assuming Oct 27 departures.) 9:00 am – 6:00 pm daily (including worship, personal reflection time, group instruction and interaction, plus several breaks and a 2 hour lunch with evenings free.)
We will enjoy a worship time together on Sunday morning and a Free Afternoon on Wednesday to enjoy the area and have some fun/relaxation. Charming downtown Grapevine, TX is minutes away with shops, restaurants, art galleries, and coffee shops.
Cost for the Week: $750 all-inclusive, on-site ($475 for those staying elsewhere locally)
We will be comfortably hosted near downtown Grapevine TX. This all-inclusive price includes accommodation (based on double occupancy), facilities, 3 meals/day plus coffee breaks, for the duration of your stay, Oct 20 – 27, except dinner on the 1/2 day off. It also includes training instruction, all meeting rooms, administration, pick-up and delivery to the Spokane airport if needed, and transportation on our 1/2 day off (materials ordered separately). What a deal!
To best protect an undistracted experience we ask that, even if you are staying elsewhere, you stay fully engaged with your group all day through dinner.

You can also email your registration form to Wendy then pay by Bank Bill Pay, made out to Women’s Development Track with a notation that it is for TX – Oct 2018. (Because this is an event fee, it is not tax-deductible.)
If you prefer to have a single room, let us know and we can try to arrange it if possible, for an extra $150/week.
We will confirm your reservation and send your receipt when we receive your registration form and payment – please register by Sept 5, 2018 to assure your place. Before you book your travel, please wait until you hear from us to affirm a full group for your module.
If cancellation is made before Sept 5, you will be refunded all but $100. If cancellation is made after Sept 5 and we are able to fill your place with another participant, you will also be refunded all but $100. However, if cancellation is made after Sept 5 and we are not able to fill your place, your registration cannot be refunded since we are committed to our reservation in full after that date. In case of true emergency we can try to negotiate this, but especially for configuring small group intensive mentoring experiences, we will count on your being with us once you have registered!
If you are flying from out of the area please fly into Dallas/FtWorth TX (DFW) by Saturday afternoon, Oct 20, no later than 4pm, so our scheduled start at 5pm is protected. Flight departures anytime Sat, Oct 27 (breakfast included). Thanks for arranging your arrival/departure times so that you will be present from beginning to end, not arriving/leaving early. It takes about 15 minutes to get from the DFW airport to our accommodation and we will meet you.
If you are driving to Grapevine, please plan to be there by 4 pm on Sat, Oct 20, to get settled before our introduction time begins.
After we receive your registration you will receive a number of emails over the coming weeks about your advance preparation, getting your travel information, and opportunities for interaction with your peer-mentors as our time grows near!
